Since I made Chimalli, the Mexican culture inspired me, and this time I worked with mirror foil painted with airbrush colors in able to get a tin look.
In Mexico, small figures representing different parts of the body are made of tin, these small figures are called ”small miracles” and are hung on boards under sculptures representing different saints in the catholic church, hoping for a miracle to save the part of the body that is hung up.
”Sagrado Corazón de Jesús” represents Jesus’ heart and the greatest miracle of all.
2020 is the year of Covid 19, and we need the greatest miracle of all in able to be emphatic, now and when in the future meeting the consequences of this virus.
