I am an artist who wants to improve the world by recycling materials and create new objects in shape of art with function. Example by giving new life to old tables.
Sharing with others is also important for me, that’s why I offer also my knowledge in form of workshops on different techniques for artistic expression.
Much of my inspiration comes from music and nature, that’s why my business is at the end of the great Alvaret on south Öland, where nature is my muse and where I can blast speakers with music without disturbing others, dancing on canvas with paint on my feet, or around objects and experimenting with new materials.
Southern Öland – for me – is as close as you can come to a Mexican landscape in Sweden. I come originally from northern Mexico where the scenery consists of desert with low vegetation, miles of views and fiery sunsets. Just like in the south of Öland.
And here I usually get the question: How did a mexican woman ended up in Sweden? The answer, of course, is Love! I fell in love and married a Swedish man. This happened 1980, since then we have had three wonderful children, I’ve worked as a graphic designer and art director, started some companies, painted with oil and acrylic, experimented with ceramics and glass blasting, worked non-profit in cultural associations, I am currently experimenting with resin, fluid art and my husband and I are still in love with each other.
